EU Recovery Package: Make or break for the Green Deal?

Climate change and environmental degradation are existential threats to Europe and the world. Europe therefore needs a new growth strategy if it is to make a successful transition to a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy. The European Green Deal is the European Union's roadmap for a sustainable EU economy. It aims to ensure that climate and environmental challenges are successfully addressed across all policy areas. The European Commission recently launched the Recovery Instrument to help the EU economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic – will it be green recovery and is solar included in these plans?
