Virtual power plants - renewable electricity at any time

The fluctuating generation of renewable energies is considered a major challenge of the energy transition. Digitization is enabling new approaches to solving this problem by using artificial intelligence (AI) to network many small generation plants to form a virtual power plant. EnBW has been at the forefront of these developments for some time. Its digital platform Interconnector operates EnBW's virtual power plant. But how does it work in concrete terms? Who can and should participate in it, and what are the benefits for the „Energiewende“? We talk about this with Simon Schweda, Chief Product Officer at EnBW.
