He is an Energy Engineer from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana where he was Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Energy Engineering and Head of the Area of Engineering in Energy Resources, he has a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Energy Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México .
He also has a specialization in renewable energies from the Ente Nacional de Hidrocarburos (ENI Group) in Urbino, Italy. He was appointed member of the Inter-American Committee on Solar Water Heating by Abrava Solar in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Professor at the German Academy of Renewable Energies RENAC in Berlin, Germany.
He was president of the National Association of Solar Energy (ANES) and president of the National Committee of Standardization of Solar Energy NESO-13. He was advisor to organizations such as the National Energy Saving Commission (CONAE), the University Energy Program, the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC), and the German Cooperation Agency GIZ.
Born in Mexico and based in Germany since 2004, Marisol's academic and professional background are international and multidisciplinary. She has worked in the public, non-profit and private sector in Mexico and Germany, and has over 14 years of experience in the solar heating and cooling market. Her core competencies are in strategic marketing, business development and project management.
Since 2016, she works as independent business and marketing consultant specialized in the solar market. She has advised important European companies and organizations and leads international projects from the solar market.
Adán Covarrubias is director and co-founder of CrtlSun, a digital platform for the solar industry. He has a Master in Marketing and Market Research from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor of Communication Sciences from ITESO. He is Advisor and communication manager of the Mexican Association of the Photovoltaic Industry.
