How to break away from fossil fuels with hydrogen?

With the end of fossil fuels now clearly in sight in the near future, hydrogen is increasingly taking center stage in the search for efficient alternatives. Such alternatives are crucial for the successful long-term implementation of the energy transition in all sectors and for climate protection. The German government is convinced that green hydrogen will play a central role in this as a versatile emission-free energy carrier.  What are the economic and commercial opportunities for the European Union? About Veronika Grimm & H2.B

Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm has been head of the Chair of Economics, esp. economic theory, at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg since 2008 and has additionally been a member of the H2.B board since 2019. Prof. Grimm is active in various advisory bodies at federal and EU level, for example in the National Hydrogen Council of the German government, the German Council of Economic Experts ("Wirtschaftsweisen"), the Scientific Advisory Board of the BMWK and the Expert Commission for the monitoring process "Energy of the Future" at the BMWK.
