In this issue, published in collaboration with EUPD Research, we explore the impressive expansion of Denmark and Sweden's solar power markets, covering technologies like EV charging, smart homes, and heat pumps. Denmark's solar capacity has nearly tripled over the past four years, rising from 1.5 GWac in 2020 to 4.3 GWac in 2023. Similarly, Sweden has seen rapid growth in its solar PV capacity, increasing from 1.1 GWac in 2020 to 4.0 GWac in 2023, with 1,600 MWac added last year. Sweden’s solar sector, though smaller than Denmark's, is expanding quickly, particularly in residential and commercial installations, alongside larger utility projects.
