Free Webinar

Tuesday, January 19, 2021 | 11am–12am CET | Webinar Language: English

Electric vehicles and environmentally friendlier driving are gathering momentum all across Europe – especially in the largest mobility markets of Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and Sweden. Compared to last year, the number of newly registered electric passenger cars in the EU has gone up by more than half in the second quarter of 2020, achieving a market share of 12 per cent of total registrations. Battery electric vehicles accounted for 55 per cent of this total (726,000).

Subsidies for electric vehicles are now widespread and are funded by federal, state, and city governments. To make the change easier for many drivers, they include subsidies for consumer purchases of EVs, subsidies for EV infrastructure, and other various side benefits to EV owners. The governments are promoting this subsidies for EVs as they reduce local air pollution, noise and carbon emissions, could use sustainable energy sources and also boost the rate of technological innovation and generate jobs. #ChargingTheFutureOfMobility

What can you expect in 2021 regarding to subsides provided for EVs and also smart charging infrastructure all over Europe? Which models will occur soon? And when is the right time to invest for you? Who’s better to answer this and further question as our todays expert, Philippe Vangeel, Secretary General of the European Association for Electromobility (AVERE).

During the webinar participants can submit their questions to get them answered by the experts in the live Q&A. In addition, both the recording and the speakers' presentations are made available to all registrants after the webinar.

Off-grid solar systems are often the least expensive option for rural electrification. Solar home systems can power individual households, while mini-grids can supply entire villages. Each comes with its own advantages, disadvantages, and challenges. The aim of this session is to explore challenges as well as success stories. It takes well-functioning components such as battery systems, charge management and inverters to make projects successful. Proper system sizing, maintenance and repair management, as well as a robust financial concept are also necessary. If one of these elements is missing, the electrification will not be sustainable. This session will focus on the aspects mentioned above. The speakers will present successful and unsuccessful approaches and discuss what can be learned from them.
