Climate neutrality in 2050 is the EU’s man on the moon.
Much remains to be done to achieve this long-term objective, starting with more ambitious climate action in the transport sector in the coming decade as a 90% reduction in transport emissions is needed by 2050.
The clean electrification of vehicles and the deployment of a smart charging infrastructure are no-regret options to transform vehicles from mere transport assets to decentralized energy resources fully integrated in the power system.
This webinar will present a new smartEn publication supported by Power2Drive which collects best practices of innovative business models that should be supported by the regulatory frameworks to be set during the EU legislative cycle 2019-2024.

With a background in customer experience in energy technologies, Xavier Moreau develops energy innovation and marketing strategies.
Xavier began his career as a management consultant. Then, with Schneider Electric, he directed global sales operations, coordinated electro-intensive key accounts, before eventually leading the strategy and marketing of its Electric Utility segment. Now a strategic advisor, Xavier develops for corporations and start-ups such as Nuvve, deep insights of complex changes in electric utilities and renewables industries. He carries out strategic market expansion initiatives.
Xavier Moreau has strong expertise in microgrids, decentralized energies, storage, electric mobility, vehicle to grid, energy data and electricity markets.
Aaron Fishbone has been Communications Director for GreenWay for the last 4 years, helping it grow from just after its startup phase to becomnig the regional leader in providing electric vehicle charging services and operating a network of over 200 charging stations.
In that time Aaron has become deeply familiar with the many issues in EV charging and its interface with the energy grid, including the topic of energy storage. Aaron also hosts the Electric Avenue Podcast, where he discusses these topics with experts and thought leaders all over Europe.
Chris King is SVP – Policy & Regulatory Affairs for Siemens eMobility®, leading market development and regulatory initiatives globally.
Chris serves on the Boards of Advanced Energy Economy, Smart Electric Power Association and Smart Energy Europe. He has testified before Congress, several states, and international policymakers. Chris co-hosted the U.S. Congressional Delegation to the U.N. Climate Summit led by Nancy Pelosi. Chris holds bachelors and masters degrees in science and business from Stanford and a doctorate in law and has received three patents in advanced clean energy technologies.
Michael Villa is the Head of Policy at smartEn, the association of market players driving digital and decentralised energy solutions.
He is specialised in EU energy polices with 6 years of experience as Senior Consultant to provide specific advocacy support to clients both in the EU and Middle East. Roberto is an expert on the emobility and renewable energy sector. After his studies at the European School of Business in Reutlingen, Germany, and the Università Cattolica in Piacenza, Italy, Roberto worked as sales manager and senior consultant for various projects in emobility and sector coupling.
He has faced many challenges in the transition to emobility and built and implemented new EV sales strategies for brands like Tesla and Nissan. As part of a small team he was in charge of selling the limited production Tesla Roadster and launching Model S in Germany, but also worked on sector coupling projects like bidirectional charging and second life EV batteries and their effect on the power sector.
Roberto is your contact person if you’re looking to become part of the rapidly growing Power2Drive Europe.
