Experts talk about challenges and opportunities of the French energy storage market at the ees & IBESA Summit France 2018. The session topics ranged from policy frameworks to insights from R&D institutions to the presentation of successful business models and included two exciting panel discussions. The presentations were full of the latest and most relevant findings from the industry.

Making the case for energy storage opportunities in France, the ees & IBESA Summit France in Strasbourg on October 24 turned out to be a lively affair with some 135 energy professionals attending the one-day event.

The energy transition towards renewables is well under way in the Middle East and North Africa. The region has advanced and ambitious energy investment and diversification plans in place, driven by the need to meet growing energy demand, promote economic growth, maximize socioeconomic benefits and meet decarbonisation objectives. Analysis for IRENA's World Energy Transitions Outlook (WETO) reveals that the region could obtain almost 26% of its total primary energy supply from renewables by 2050, while the renewable share could reach 53% in the power sector.
